Our Students

Our students who have complex special needs come from many communities in Massachusetts and New Hampshire and are generally within a one hour radius of our school located at 32 Osgood Street in Andover, MA. We have special needs students from communities throughout Essex and Middlesex Counties in Massachusetts as well as Southern New Hampshire.

Our students’ diagnoses include: Global Developmental Delays (GDD), Epileptic encephalopathy, Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome, Intrauterine infarcts, Anoxic Brain Injury, Cerebral Palsy, TBCK Syndrome, MPPH Syndrome, Mitochondrial Disease, UBA5-related epilepsy-dyskinesia syndrome, Shprintzen-Goldberg Syndrome, GRIN2B Syndrome, LMBRD2 Syndrome, Lissencephaly, Cornelia de Lange Syndrome, Autosomal Chromosomal Duplication, Traumatic Brain Injury, Rhizomelic Chondrodysplasia Punctata Type 1, and Cerebral Visual Impairment (CVI).

Parents of special needs children having complex medical needs work with their IEP team to determine if Anderson School is an appropriate special education school setting for their child. If the IEP team and parents agree to this placement, the sending district will financially support the student to attend Anderson School in Andover, MA including transportation costs from the sending district.
